Terms of Use
These terms explain the intended use of the DriveShift website and current development app. The app is not yet available on the App Store. Any release-specific purchase or license terms will be presented when applicable.
1. Vehicle information and AI limitations
DriveShift provides informational explanations, possible causes, and diagnostic context. AI-generated responses can be wrong or incomplete. A diagnostic trouble code, image, sound, or suggested cause does not establish which part has failed or whether a vehicle is safe to drive.
Confirm the cause with a qualified technician before repairs or parts purchases. DriveShift does not provide emergency assistance, a professional inspection, or a guarantee of repair results.
2. Safe use
Use the app only when the vehicle is safely parked. Do not interact with it while driving. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions and the OBD adapter’s instructions. Do not perform a repair or test that exceeds your skills, tools, or safety equipment.
If there is smoke, a fuel leak, overheating, loss of braking or steering, or another urgent safety concern, stop using the vehicle when safe and seek appropriate professional or emergency assistance.
3. Hardware and availability
OBD functionality requires a compatible vehicle and adapter. Data availability varies. Development features can change, and online analysis depends on network access and service availability. No release date, universal compatibility, or uninterrupted service is promised.
4. Parts and retailer links
Parts & Prices is a planned integration. Product compatibility, price, stock, shipping, warranties, and returns must be confirmed with the retailer. A suggested part is not a recommendation to buy or replace it. If affiliate links are introduced, the relationship will be disclosed. Retail transactions are governed by the retailer’s terms.
5. Your submissions
Only submit information or media you are authorized to use. Avoid unnecessary personal information. Your submitted content is used to handle the requested analysis or support inquiry as described in the Privacy Policy; submitting it does not transfer ownership to DriveShift.
6. Appropriate use and ownership
Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with other users or infrastructure, or use it for unlawful purposes. DriveShift branding and original website materials remain the property of their respective owners. These terms do not prevent rights permitted by law.
7. Purchases and legal rights
This website does not sell subscriptions, take payments, or process parts orders. Any future paid offering will state its price, billing terms, and cancellation process before purchase. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights or other protections that cannot legally be waived.
8. Updates and contact
We may update these terms as the project develops. Questions about these terms can be sent to ali.kathem.edu@gmail.com.
